Don LaGuardia, CPA - Principal     

Mr. LaGuardia is a founder and partner of LR Global, and a member of the portfolio investment team that manages the firm's funds. Previously, he spent five years at Rockefeller & Co. ("R&Co."), as an equity analyst. His primary responsibilities were to identify undervalued opportunities internationally and to develop long-term financial models for valuation purposes. Prior to joining R&Co., Mr. LaGuardia spent six years at BMW of North America as a financial analyst and later as business planning manager. His initial responsibilities included analysis of financial statements and economic data to determine potential impact on currencies and the company's financial performance. Later, he was responsible for restructuring their U.S. retail network. Prior to his employment with BMW, Mr. LaGuardia spent five years as an auditor at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Mr. LaGuardia received a BA in public accounting from Pace University, and an MBA in international finance from New York University. In 1992, he received his Certified Public Accountant designation and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.



Sean Wilson, CFA - Principal     

Mr. Wilson joined LR Global in 2005 as a partner and member of the portfolio investment team which manages the firm’s funds. Previously, he spent three years as a senior portfolio manager at Columbia Management Company, the asset management division of Ameriprise Financial, with responsibility for managing in excess of $10 billion for retail and institutional clients.  Prior to Columbia, Mr. Wilson spent eight years as a Managing Director at R&Co. with responsibilities including director of research and portfolio manager.  As such, he managed both domestic and international portfolios for both individual and institutional clients.  Prior to his employment with R&Co., Mr. Wilson spent two years with Phoenix Investment Counsel as an international equity analyst. Prior to Phoenix, he spent five years with Grantham, Mayo, VanOtterloo & Company as a foreign exchange trader and quantitative analyst.

Mr. Wilson received a BA in finance from Northeastern University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.


Randy F. Rock, Principal, Chief Operating Officer     

Mr. Rock joined the Investment Manager in 2011 as a principal and chief operating officer. Previously, he was a partner for six years with G.C.Andersen Partners, LLC., an independent investment and merchant banking firm. Prior to Andersen, he spent five years as co-head and managing director of the middle market investment banking group, which he established, at Ryan, Beck & Co., a financial services and investment advisory firm. His experience encompasses senior positions at Josephthal & Co., Prudential Securities and Drexel Burnham Lambert. He served as a member of the commitment and fairness opinion committees at Ryan, Beck & Co. and Josephthal & Co. He also practiced law for five years at Reavis & McGrath, now Fulbright & Jaworski.

Mr. Rock received a BA in economics from Columbia College and a JD from the Columbia University School of Law.


William L. Asmundson, Principal    

Mr. Asmundson joined LR Global in 2006 as a partner, Chief Operating Officer and member of the portfolio investment team.  Previously, he spent 24 years at R&Co., beginning in 1984 as a portfolio manager for the family’s most senior members, and culminating with his retirement in 2001 as President, Chief Executive Officer, a member of the Executive Committee, and Chairman of the Board of Rockefeller Trust Co.  From 1961 to 1983, Mr. Asmundson served in various positions at Rothschild Inc. (or affiliates of Rothschild Inc.) including Managing Director of Rothschild Inc., and Executive Vice President of Rothschild Asset Management. He began his career in 1959 as an investment analyst with Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Asmundson received a BA from the University of Washington and attended New York University Graduate Business School.


Matthew Williams, Director of Global Relationship Development    

Mr. Williams joined LR Global Partners recently and is responsible for monitoring key relationships. He is also spearheading the firmís efforts in forming new partnerships in select frontier markets. Mr. Williamsí primary background is in China, where he has been operating for over ten years and was a Fulbright Scholar at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Prior to LR, Mr. Williams worked as a consultant in translation and market entry contexts for those wanting to work more effectively with Chinese and Indian counterparties.

Mr. Williams received a B.A. in Political Science from Swarthmore College, M.S. in Foreign Service in Georgetown University, and J.D. from Fordham University. During his academic career, he interned at the Council on Foreign Relations, the United States Institute of Peace, the Congressional-Executive Commission on China, Liu and Wang LLP (Shenzhen), and Allen and Overy LLP (Beijing). Mr. Williams has published opinion-editorial articles in the Huffington Post, Far Eastern Economic Review, and the Christian Science Monitor.


John V. Schnell, Compliance Officer    

Mr. Schnell joined LR Global in 2003 and is responsible for portfolio administration, operations, and compliance. Previously, he spent 18 years in various senior administration, operations, and project management positions with JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley Trust Co., Credit Suisse Asset Management, and Bank of America Trust Co.

Mr. Schnell received a BA in Economics from New York University.


Albert C. Yuen, CFA - Portfolio Manager    

Mr. Yuen joined the Investment Manager in 2011 as a portfolio manager. Over the previous 7 years, he held numerous positions at Rockefeller & Co. including that of a senior analyst on the Global Equity Fund and portfolio manager of the Global Financial Recovery Fund. Prior to Rockefeller & Co., Mr. Yuen held internships with Liberty Square Asset Management and Smith Barney.

Mr. Yuen received a B.S. from Northeastern University in 2004 with a concentration in Finance / Accounting.


Brent Clayton, CFA - Head of Research    

Mr. Clayton joined LR Global in 2007 as an equity analyst. In 2012, he was made Head of Research and is responsible for directing the firm's fundamental research efforts globally. He is a member of the Portfolio Investment Committee, which manages the firm's funds. Prior to LR Global, he was a summer analyst at Merrill Lynch in its Energy and Power investment banking group.

Mr. Clayton received a B.A., cum laude, from Dartmouth College in 2007 with a concentration in Political Science. 


Asset Management Companies

Reaz Islam, CEO LR Bangladesh, President Asia Pacific    

Mr. Islam is a Managing Partner & President, Asia Pacific of LR Global Partners (Murray J. Logan - Rockefeller & Co.), and CEO & Director of LR Bangladesh Asset Management Company and a member of the portfolio management team which manages the firm's funds. Previously, Mr. Islam spent 18 years at Citigroup, including the last 12 as Managing Director and business head of Citi Fixed Income Alternatives. Under Mr. Islam's leadership for over 7 years the unit became one of the largest investment business within Citi with over 1000+ investors across multiple strategies with over $5.2 billion in capital managing over 50 investment and support professionals. In this capacity, Mr. Islam was also a member of Citi Alternative's Management Committee, as well as designated Senior Manager of Citigroup. On behalf of Citigroup Mr. Islam traveled extensively in North America, Europe, as well as in Asia. Prior to joining Citi Alternative Investments, Mr. Islam spent three years as a Senior Risk Analyst for Citi's Corporate and Investment bank reviewing credit and investments as well as market risks for CitiĀ's corporate and investment bank identifying both risk and opportunities globally. Mr. Islam started his career at Citi as a Management Associate class of 1990 and subsequently completed the credit training and corporate finance program from Citicorp Institute of Global Finance. Mr. Islam is also Vice President of Association of Asset Management & Mutual Funds in Bangladesh and actively involved in development of the investment industry. Mr. Islam is also an active member of American Chamber of Commerce, Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce and volunteers as a Trustee for Not-for profit organizations including American International School Dhaka. Mr. Islam received a BS in Applied Economics from Cornell University, and an MBA in Finance and Operations Research from New York University's Stern School of Business.


Allen J. Pathmarajah, Chairman-Sri Lanka     

Mr. Pathmarajah joined LR Global in 2010 as Chairman of LR Global Lanka Asset Management Company. Previously, he was Executive Chairman of the AJP Advisers Group. He has extensive experience in Financial Services, Business and Management Consultancy in England, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Malaysia. Mr. Pathmarajah held senior management roles within the Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Group (OCBC) for 23 years Ė including Executive Director of the Management Consultancy Company, Special Assistant to the Group Chairman, and CEO of Great Eastern Life Assurance. He is and was a member of several governmental, professional and charitable committees. Allen often speaks on Leadership and other management topics to businesses and the public sector. He was Adjunct Professor at the Nanyang Technological University. Mr. Pathmarajah is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and Fellow of the Marketing Institute of Singapore.
